HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI DAN LOCUS OF CONTROL TERHADAP LEARNING OUTCOME

Abstract In learning theory known variable learning system that is composed of 3 elements. Variable meant that (1) the conditions of learning, (2) learning methods, and (3) learning outcomes. Learning conditions are factors that influence the effect of the method in improving learning outcomes. Achievement motivation is a drive that is inside the student to achieve the goal of achievement of the desired objectives. Achievement motivation Achievement motivation is the driving force of the student to achieve the highest level of academic achievement possible for an award to himself. This study consists of three variables: independent variable, moderator, and bound. The independent variables namely achievement motivation (X1), and locus of control (X2). Dependent variable is the learning outcome (Y). The population of this study were all students of the Department of Administration, State University of Malang office 2007-2008. The research sample was taken by 40 students drawn from a random population member group (cluster random sampling). Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis have shown no effect of independent variables on the dependent variable, it can be seen in the value of R Square (R2) is equal to 0.034. This means that the influence of the type of motivation and locus of control on student results by 3.4%, while for 96.6% influenced by other variables not included in the study. In addition, the significant value of F of 0.523, meaning that the effect is not significant, or in other words there is no effect. The coefficient of correlation (Correlation) illustrates the relationship between the independent variable is motivation and locus of control on the type of dependent variable is the result of learning is equal to 0.186. This means that the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is very weak.
